How can I secure my electric guitar in my dorm room?
I REALLY don't want it to get stolen and leaving it at home isn't an option so I need to find a way to keep it safe in case someone breaks into the room. I was thinking of maybe using a bike cable to wrap around the case and my bed post really tight but then if the thief were motivated enough they could probably get it off by lifting the lofted bed and slip it off somehow. Either that or maybe they have the tools to saw/cut through the cable. I just really need help coming up with a solid method to keep it safe.
How about a metal locker (with lock of course) you can hang on the wall or put against the wall but with brackets to make it more secure. Yeah a motivated thief can rip it off the wall but a guy carrying a locker with drywall attached to it is more suspicious looking then a guy carrying a guitar.
