why won't my wii read any disks?
OK. I have had my wii for 2 years now i was playing need for speed carbon all of a sudden it went an error has occured on a black screen. It also said to read the operations manual to troubleshoot. So i did. Then it told me to buy a lens cleaning kit, which i did, for 10 dollars. i used it and wiped the lens clean (I used it right)until no more dirt was on the pads. still didnt read them. So now i thought about taking the wii apart, i had all the tools, even the tri-wing screwdriver. i thought about it and ended up doing it. it is apart right now, and i need to know what to tinker around with? Any details? (Im not taking it to a shop or to nintendo)
He obviously put the disc in the right way if he was already playing the game when it happened.
You should call Nintendo and ask them if they can give you any help with this, I experienced this problem and just unplugged my wii and left it alone for a few days and it worked after that. You could give that a shot or you might just have to send it in.
