Talking Tape Measure

Fundal height?
All my pregnancy books talk about how your doctor will measure fundal height at your prenatal appointments, but I just went for my 20 week appointment today and she hasn't checked fundal height at all. She did check today to see if my uterus was up to my belly button, but no tape measure or anything. Is measuring the fundal height something obstetricians aren't doing anymore, or is it just mine that's not doing it? Or will she start doing it later on?
Might be your ob. I am in my second pregnancy and my new doctor hasn't checked me once for fundal height. My old doctor (who no longer delivers babies because of retirement, otherwise I'd go back to him) would check me every single time I went in there.
Maybe if she is checking where the location of the top is, that's how she can figure out you are pretty good. It does sound like she's checking it, just not getting exact centimeter measurements. Like one of the others has suggested, ask her on your next appointment, don't ever be shy to ask too many questions.
