Should I drop Austin Collie? Need a WR.?
I need a WR this week, should I drop Collie? I'm afraid he's not going to come back in time to be useful. I'm also thinking about dropping Anthony Gonzalez for Mike Williams (SEA) or Davonne Bess because they might be better long term solutions.
I'm in a 10 person league, standard scoring.
WR: Donald Driver, Danny Woodhead, Anthony Gonzalez :: On bench: Austin Collie (injured), Roddy White (bye)
RB: Ladanian Tomlinson, Rashard Mendhall, Ryan Torain, Knowshon Moreno, Beanie Wells
I tried to trade any one of my 5 top 20 RBs for a top WR and no one would bite because no one really has depth at WR.
Dropping Collie would likely be a bad mistake. I don't think you are that desperate for receivers to be honest, just a bad week. You may have to suck in a loss this week, but long term, White and Collie (who should be back in two weeks at the latest I'm thinking) is a deadly duo. I have Collie in both of my leagues and I wouldn't even want to trade him. As for Gonzales, I can see dropping him for Bess or Williams. I'm not sure which one though; I am a fan of Bess but both are better than Gonzales and have had relatively similar years. If you want both, you could drop Woodhead as well.
Other than that, I actually like your receivers and running backs a lot. Not sure what your other players are, but I think you may have a pretty good team. =)
