Single Suction Cup
How can I hang wreaths on 100 yr old single pane/single hung windows and have them look suspended from ribbon?
I have a 100 year old farm house in a pretty snowy/cold/windy section of Ohio. I want to hang wreaths on my windows so that they appear to be suspended from a pretty red ribbon (not just floating in the middle of the window). I plan to use suction cups to fasten the wreaths to the single pane windows to secure them at the appropriate height and hopefully keep them from blowing around too much. I cannot open the top of the windows (single hung) and I don't have a ladder to reach the second story windows. I'd like to find a way to do this from the inside of the house. The windows have a wood frame inside and out. Any suggestions would be great!
Could you put several layers of fishing ling to suspend them, then put the red ribbon over the fishing line so the line won't show? you could secure the wreaths with a suction cup and more fishing line (so they wouldn't twist and turn)
