Automotive Tools - US Set or Metric Set?
Okay, i was looking to buy/invest in a good tool set. I was thinking snap on. But i could not decide if i should get the US snap on set or the metric set. I think somewhere i heard that even amercian cars are switching the the metric side. Which set should i get and why? I work on all cars... Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Acura, Mitsubishi and so on. Please give me your feedback.
I just recently also bought a complete new tool set. But I went with Craftsman 155 piece set for $99.

The price was great and the warranty is fabulous. It has metric and "standard" sockets. Actually there's lots of overlap in 1/4 & 3/8 and 1/2 sockets.
As a backyard amateur, I like the fact that if they ever break, I can just take it back to sears and get a replacement the SAME DAY. If I was a pro with a mechanic co-worker, I could probably just borrow on or two pieces till the broken piece is replaced. But I don't want to wait days (or weeks) with all the car parts torn apart waiting for something to come back in the mail.
