what tools will i need to become a mechanic after i graduate UTI?
i'm going to be going off to UTI in about a year or so and i was just wondering what tools will i need to have after i graduate to start my career as a mechanic. I have been collecting some tools. i have 10-19mm flank drive snap on wrenches,standard size snap on wrenches,1/4 stanley ratchet set,snap on F80 3/8 ratchet,blue point 10-19mm ratcheting box end wrenches,snap on 3/8 drive metric sockets,and some pliers and screw drivers. what more will i need?
calm down. just buy some basic crappy tools first. you won't be doing much in the industry at first and can buy tools as you go. don't be one of those people that buys a ton of tools and decides they don't want to be a tech.
hold off on the expensive tools till u are making money. don't go cheap with air tools tho.
you'll need an impact wrench for sure
