Pro Quality Diamond

how do I get pro studio quality at home?
Alright so I got a digitech gnx 4 pedal...a marshall 100watt mg series combo....monster cables...and a gibson explorer, ibanez rgr521ex2,jackson rr3pro, and a schecter diamond series? Alright so now you know my gear, here's my question. What recording program should I use to get pro sounding metal here? I've tried a few but the sounds always come out too digital...I know its probably the pedal but its all I got for good tones. Also.. Does anyone know how to get a heavy ass tone like Dethklok or cannibal corpse using the digitech? Please someone just help me with this...
Thanks!
Protools makes excellent recording software and it's used by most professional studios. If you're getting good sound out of your amp, then the best way to get that sound recorded is to put a microphone in front of the speaker cabinet rather than running it direct out of the digitech.
In terms of settings, google your digitech model and you'll find lots of players who have posted their settings, and you should find some on youtube so you can actually hear what their settings sound like. Also check the digitech website forums to check out what other players are doing.
