Pocket Hole Drill
Kreg Jigs. I have a couple questions for anyone who's familiar, please.?
I am very interested in purchasing the mini (because I cannot yet afford the big one).
I've been buidling furniture for my house, and this thing seems like it would be perfect.
I'm new to woodworking/building.
I'm wondering, Does it only drill the pocket holes and not pre-drill the screw holes? If so, How difficult is it to pre-drill through, do I need longer drill bits? Is it good for all size screws (sm, lg, thin, thick)?
How do you like it? What else should I know about it?
I've been watching the videos. Nothing says if it's pre-drilling the screw holes in addition to the pocket holes.
All you need to do is to go to Kregs website and download the instructions, it is very simple to understand and to use. If you can use a clamp and use a drill, then you can do this no problem. I have the deluxe system and it works great. I use it a lot for hiding my screws in cabinet work when on the job site. You will need to get different size bits for different size screws, but that goes without question. The right tool for the right job. You will also find that using this tool makes a very good and strong joint.
