Piston Ring Compressor
My 50cc dirt bike will start but will not stay running, i have to palm the carb. Any ideas?
The guy i bought it off of replaced the piston and told me he thinks it needs new rings. I replaced the piston rings, head gasket, spark plug, blew the carb out with my compressor. I have no other ideas... help me out...
One of the very small carb circuits is still clogged and when you palm it that creates a vacuum that is overcomes the fuel shortage and pulls the fuel from somewhere else for the motor to burn...its starving for fuel. A can of Berrymans B12 spray and a workbench and a couple of screwdrivers and you are back in business. (wear safety glasses when spraying the Berryman's - its very tough on the eyes) It will kick back when spraying the carb.
