Is the world going to end in 2012?
Alright heres the thing ive heard a bunch of crap that the world is gnna end in 2012, is this true?? or is some just kinda prophecy i would like to know before i freak out plz dont give me some kinda mumbo jumbo vudu scientific answer just plz give me a logical answer an some easy to understand facts to back it up thanks
It is a steaming pile of fraud, delusion, superstition and practical jokes.
Every scrap of "evidence" brought out to support it can be checked quite easily and shown to be either extremely dubious or just plain false.
There will be no planetary alignments, even if there was it would not matter, the other planets have almost zero effect on the Earth becuse they are too far away and too small.
The Earth, Moon and Sun cannot line up with the galactic centre, they are several degrees off. A near alignment, off by those several degrees happens twice every year and nothing happens.
Planet X was supposed to hit in 2003. It does not exist anyway, it was invented by a ratbag called Nancy Lieder about 1995. No astronomer ever saw anything, so it wasn't even a near miss.
Nibiru was invented by Zecharia Sitchin about 20 years ago. It is supposed to have a 3600 years obit and was last near Earth in 600BC. That makes it a thousand years till it's next visit. The Nibiru story is a mess of bad astronomy, superstition and false interpretation of Mesopotamian records. It is all lies, and does not exist.
There will be no pole shifts. The axis of rotation of the Earth is stabilised by the Moon. The magnetic poles will keep moving slowly as they have always done.
Not a single "prophecy" made on the basis of Revelation or Nostradamus has ever happened. Not one. The so-called Bible codes supposedly predicted a nuclear war in 1997. In fact they were shown to be fraud a few months after Michael Drosnin published his first book about them about a dozen years ago.
The prediction attached to the Mayan calendar was made a few years ago by a typical woo-woo fraud, the Mayans themselves had nothing to say about any prediction and their calender, by the way, was not as accurate as ours or even that introduced by Julius Caesar 2070 years ago.
The people who are promoting this are doing so to sell faked up books, DVDs and to sell el cheapo "documentaries" to Fox television who will broadcast anything so long as it is in focus, the sound is good and it does not defame anyone who is likely to sue them.
In short, it's all garbage.
