Inch Corner Clamp
I need creative ideas for dining room table legs?
We came across this amazing, beautiful, huge solid wood door. Since we recently bought a house we want to turn it into our dining room table. We just got glass that's about 1/2 inch thick for the top and this thing is crazy heavy. The size is close to 4 x 8.
I was thinking old bed posts would make nice legs but now I'm not sure if they'll be enough to hold the weight of the door and glass. Does anyone have any experience with this?
What other things would work for legs on this unique table we're making?
Also, we need to secure the glass to the wood, we were thinking 8 decorative "clamps" (2 on each corner) but haven't done any shopping around for these or even know if something like that exists. If you have any thoughts or ideas on this let me know!
We don't have a ton of money to throw into this project, but I can't wait for it to be complete!
bed poasts should work, reenforce them with an "L" type bracket. my glass just sits on the table it is not conected to the wood.
