are my bubble corals dying?
i have two bubble corals. not sure type. one pink and big bubbles the other green little bubbles. they where doing great and getting bigger and now all the sudden they are regressing and pulling of the rocks. i have done a water change and have good selinity and no ammonia or nitrite/nitrates. was wondering if i need to replace my lighting. i have high intensity 50/50 and 10k bulbs. like 6 months old. plus i have not changed my carbon filters or bio balls in my marinland 1000. recently i stoppped growing green algae and just have like a brown color on glass. plus my live rock has lost its purple algae. i have a crab/a star fish/ royal gramma/ 2 perc clowns/ 2 other clowns/ and a purple fire fish in a 50 gallon bow front. i recently stoppped putting myisis shrimp in there. maybe my corals arent getting enough food, i dont know. is my tank crashing and how can i save it.
Man that sucks ... check all your levels ... calcium, alkalinity, ph and post them on here
Whats the flow like on the bubbles , where do you have them placed in your tank? We spot feed our bubble corals daily with a turkey baster. Bubble coral skeletons need calcium and alkalinity to grow properly.
