Head Screwdrivers Lot

How can I remove the screws holding my casters on?
Casters, like the tiny little wheels on dumpsters, you know (except mine are on a wheelchair)? Mine are held in place by a socket that acts as an axle and a screw on the other side that fits in the socket. There's a lot of nasty buildup between the casters and where they're fixed, so I want to clean it out, but if I try to unscrew one side, the other side spins as well and the screw stays in. I've tried bracing one side with a wrench, but the screw's too small, and I've only got one screwdriver head that works (one of those six-point star tips), so I can't hold the other side with it either. What can I do to solve this?
Guess I should've been specific... the buildup isn't just dirt or stuff like that, it's got hair wrapped around it for whatever reason and it will NOT come off.
Get yourself a can of carburator cleaner spray and clean them in place.
