Hand Cable Winch
How can I remove a metal fence post that is deep in the ground?
I have hit it with a sledge, tried a hand cable winch, and tried pulling it out with my Jeep. The latter effort broke a 1-inch nylon rope! Help!
It is a T Post, typical for a strung wire fence.
A once-inch nylon rope isn't very strong. I would try using a solid chain attached to both the bumer mount on the car and the t-post. If necessary, dig down to where the t-post bar extends hroizontally. it will make the task much easier. Good luck
