Looking to buy/find unique style of Kistka (Ukrainian Pysanka Stylus)?
Growing up, I had a set of unique Kistka, which were very unlike the style of ones mass produced today. I am looking to replace my old, worn Kistka with newer copies, but I cannot find, for the life of me, the particular style I am looking for.
The style is as follows: A screw is driven into a wooden dowel, on opposite sides of the screw head are mounted two copper funnels (one fine, one heavy) they are fixed in place with copper wire. To use the Kistka, one heats the screw as you would with other traditional Kistka, however, to "load" the kistka with wax, one plunges the head into the block of beeswax, instead of trying to feed the wax into the funnel.
If anyone knows where I can find such a Kistka for sale I would be happy to know, and greatly obliged.
I'm not sure if I've ever seen those.
