Each Watercolour Paint

How should I build my high school art portfolio?
I have a list of things I want to include. Does this seem like enough content?
Sketches - Animals, Person, Landscape, Architecture, Dragon, Bird
Painting - Batik, Watercolour, Acrylic
Other - Clay Creature, Collage
Any other ideas? Sound good?
+ Oh, and plus a decorative border frame thing for each page.
This is for a highschool application.
You have a good start. Most Art schools/Colleges have specific guidelines for portfolio submission, so be sure to check those out before you apply. Definitely drawings and paintings of different mediums: graphite pencil, charcoal, colored pencil... acrylics, oil, watercolor. Most institutions require you to also include a self-portrait. 3-D work is also important, and 1 or 2 would probably be fine. Be sure to do your absolute BEST work and do not put decorative borders around your work. Your fine art is of the focus and those little borders will be distracting and take away from your art. If anything, mount or matte the work using a white/off-white border.
Here is also a link to the Pratt Institute in NYC and their portfolio expectations just to give you an example:http://www.pratt.edu/admissions/applying/applying_undergrad/ug_application_requirements/freshmen/
