What's a good tap & die set for DIY auto repairs?
I would like to get an SAE/Metric set that would be good for use in car repair. I'm not a professional, so I don't want to spend more than $120 and don't need some super-duper gold-plated set. I just need something of decent quality. Harbor Freight has really cheap sets that I'm skeptical about. Any ideas?
You get what you pay for with tools like that.Get the best possible set you can afford.Hanson and Ace(not Ace hardware) makes very good tap and dies.I have had pretty good luck with Sears Craftsman too.The Harbor Freight made in China sets are junk in my opinion.
