Damaged Seized Frozen
Is it possible that driving an '02 CR-V with a frozen brake caliper could damage anything in the wheel hub?
My wife and daughter recently drove our CR-V some distance at highway speed with a seized brake caliper in the front. Could the heat generated by doing this cause any harm to a wheel bearing or other components? It got really hot and started making a bad wobbling sound.
I replaced the caliper today and was just wondering...
I second the wheel bearing suggestion. Just make sure it has grease.
