Is my Halloween costume to obscure?
So i want to go out trick or treating for halloween this year without dressing like every other girl in my group. (read: as a Shaky McWhore-Slutpant)
I'm thinking of being a Sims character for Halloween dressing in a simple everyday outfit (most likely just cute jeans and a t-shirt) and to make one of those giant floaty green things out of craft wire and felt.
So I've told my like four of my friends ingenious plan but most of the feedback has been mostly confused looks and disaproving head shakes.
so basically my question is are my friends dirty infidels for not knowing the about the sims games or am i just a geek and everyone will find my costume too obscure.
oh and just as a side note does anyone know any clear wires that will be able to support the weight of the giant floaty green thing?
i think people would know but it's kind of odd because most teenagers aren't dressing up as that ( i assume you're a teenager or young adult since you're still dressing up) so i think people would know.... it's just not usually what people would think of. when i see normal clothes on a person as part of a costume, it seems like they didn't even bother trying and the arrow was a last min thing when you realized there was nothing better to do and no better offers. just my opinion though and honestly, no one elses opinion should really matter. if you're sure you wanna do it, then do it. and since your friends know, anyone thats confused will probably be nice enough to ask your friends instead of seeming like a jerk asking you so they can tell them for you. have fun though
