Mac OS X stuck on loading screen -- help?
Hey all. I have a year-old MacBook running Tiger and two days ago it stopped working. Really. I forced shutdown after the screen froze and now everytime I turn it on, it remains on the white loading screen with the apple logo and the black loading circle. It will stay there for as long as I keep the computer on; if I don't force shutdown, it will overheat or stay until the battery runs out. This has been going on since Thursday and before I take it back to Best Buy to get it repaired, I'd like to know if there is a way to fix this. I've heard that you can press key combinations (Apple+Option+O+F) or something similar but it hasn't worked for me.
Thanks in advance!
I've heard of using the Tiger boot disc as well, but I don't have one. I don't know why.
