I looked at a 2005 Jeep wrangler rubicon 2 door auto pretty?
loaded with hardtop sports utility.2 door.. Dealership was wanting $23,000 but when I looked on kelly blue book it shows something around $19,000 to $20,000.. So I told the car salesman and he said that was wrong and it was really worth the sticker..My interest rate is high now but he said I could refinance next year when credit is better and get lower interest. however, I am worried about negative equity. What do you think?
They want you to pay full sticker AND a high interest rate? Unless they are bailing you out of a lot of negative equity on a car you're trading in and/or showing a higher down payment on the contract than you are actually making, I'd probably be leery.
Don't shop around at too many dealers, though, especially if they want to run your credit first. If your credit is already not great, a lot of inquiries will look even worse.
