Arm Bushing Removal
Repair a Crown Victoria Idler Arm replacement Bushing?

The bushing on my idler arm is gone. Do i have to replace the whole idler arm or just by the bushing kit? Because it would be easier to replace the bushing since all i have to do is disconnect the centerlink from the idler and put the bushing through??? right? I know they sell it for 13$ and the idler for 50$.
-What is easier to do
- and please explain in detail the whole removal and installation.
-tools required
-if i can access it without going under car
-do i need to jack it up

Money wise, the bushing is a better deal, BUT do you have access to a press, or do you have the ability to improvise? That bushing is in very tight, and getting the old one out can be a trick if you don't know how to go about it. But getting the new bushing installed can be even more of a challenge, because you must now concern yourself with not damaging the new one, or the arm itself.
Yes it is a straight-forward operation, not at all complicated, but it can take a bit of doing if you haven't the proper tools and equipment.
