Can anyone give me the pros and cons of PVC vs. metal gutters?
Hi all,
I purchased a house over the summer and the only note the home inspector made was that there were no gutters installed on the eaves.
I want to get some quotes for it before heavy snowfall starts but I'm not sure what to answer if they ask whether I want PVC or metal (is it steel?) gutters.
I was hoping someone could give me a quick snapshot of the pros/cons of each type.

Pvc gutters get the job done, but the biggest thing that you brought up is the snow. Once pvc gets cold it gets brittle. You won't be able to put a ladder up agianst it for fear of it breaking. I would stick with metal gutters. They may cost more upfront, but in the longrun they are cheaper.
