2000 Pontiac Trams Am Brake Job?
My gf's TA needs new front and rear brakes. I would like to do them myself.
Can I use a C-Clamp to spread the calipers or do I need the special tool for this application?
Also, do I need anything special to pull the hubs and repack the wheel bearing or is it pretty straight forward and requiring only basic hand tools?
I'm an experienced mechanic, just not with this car. I like to ask before jumping into things.

the wheel bearings are sealed units and cant be opened to lube them,the front calipers can be pushed back with c clamp,open the bleeder valve so you dont push all that old fluid into the master cylinder,if the rear calipers have the park brake cable attatched to them then you need a special tool to turn the piston back in,again bleeding the fluid off.replace pads and machine or replace rotors and then bleed the brakes afterwards
note: if you have abs ,pushing fluid back to master can damage the filters and valves in the abs control unit
